Chickpea flour, or gram flour, is made from ground chickpeas (aka, chana dal). It can be used to make flat savoury breads, thicken sauces and to make a batter mix. Is also used in producing snacks such as Bombay Mix. Chick pea flour is sometimes known as Besan Flour or Garbanzo Bean Flour.
Chickpea flour is very finely ground into a dense, clingy flour. It is light yellow in colour.
