Brown lentils mix excellently with all other pulses, beans, lentils, rice and stodgy food, as well as virtually every savoury spice in existence - and a number of herbs.
Although rare, small stones can occasionally be missed during processing. Always check when rinsing pulses.
How to Prepare:
- Rinse before use,
- Use 3 cups of liquid (water, stock, etc) to 1 cup of dry lentils
- Bring to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer until tender.
- For brown lentils cooking time is typically 20-30 minutes.
