Although Cous Cous looks like a grain, it is technically a pasta that's made from ground durum wheat, Very fast and easy to prepare, Cous Cous has a neutral flavour that makes it an ideal side dish for just about any protein or vegetable. Cous Cous is high in fibre and an abundant source of selenium, a powerful antioxidant that works alongside Vitamin E to promote healthy cells.


How to Prepare:

  • The general rule is 1 cup of dry couscous to 1½ cups of water. You can use stock for extra flavour.  
  • Bring water or stock, olive oil or butter, and salt to a boil.  
  • Add couscous and stir once.
  • Turn off the heat and cover to allow the couscous to steam for 5 minutes.
  • Fluff with a fork and serve.
