Brown Basmati Rice is a long grain rice with the outer bran layer intact. This gives the rice a nutty flavour and chewy texture, and the bran is full of nutrients and natural fibre. Often served with curries and stir-fry dishes, use this wholegrain to increase your fibre intake for digestive health.
How to Prepare:
- Bring a large pan of water to a rolling boil.
- Weigh out 60g of rice per person and add it to the pan, stirring once.
- Cover the pan, turn the heat down and simmer for 25 minutes until the grains are soft and slightly chewy
- Drain the rice, cover and leave to steam for 3 minutes
